Aunt and Uncle Visit

My sister Beth and her husband Keith stopped in for a visit after skiing Vail last weekend. We enjoyed a few hours with Keith before he had to fly home but Beth stayed for a few days which was great.

Here is Malia with her Aunt Beth. What I love about this picture is that in my attempts to get Malia to look and laugh, I got Beth to laugh. That is one thing that I love about my sister, she finds me funny!

Busted

I might have busted Andrew sneaking some marshmallow fluff the other night. And the evidence was all over Malia's hands and face who he was holding when he went for his snack.

First Bike Ride

The weather in Denver this week has been unbelievably nice. Highs in the 60s and today it was 70!.

We bought a bike seat for Malia a few weeks ago off of Craigslist because it was a great deal. I didn't think we would get the chance to use it so soon but we took Malia out twice this week. She loved it. It was hard to get a picture once she was on the move but she smiled and giggled and kicked her feet.

Side note: We did buy her a helmet but it is next to impossible to keep on a child who is not interested in wearing it. Any tips?

Glasses

Malia does not like bows in her hair or glasses on her face. She immediately takes them out/off. We were able to snap a quick shot of her in the glasses tonight though. Enough said.

Smiles

We love all of Malia's expressions but nothing is quite like her smiling.

She looks like she is singing here.

The Benefits of Daddy Working at Home

This morning we woke up to a few inches of fresh snow on the ground. It continued to snow as the morning passed but by lunch time it had stopped. So on his lunch break, Andrew took Malia out sledding (I just watch because I am terrible at steering the sled).

Although her face does not express it in these pictures, Malia does like to sled!

Helpful Malia

Malia loves to empty drawers, purses, baskets, etc. This week we discovered a way that her love of emptying could be put to good use - helping unload the silverware from the dishwasher. Of course she can't reach the drawer to put the silverware away yet but she does like taking it out of the dishwasher and handing it to you.

Food = Hairgel

Malia loves to feed herself. Sometimes this results in some sort of food being in her hair. The other night, Aunt Kendal took advantage of this food in Malia's hair and gave her a new hairdo.
