From Palm Tree Court to Elk Court

6 months after leaving our house in Orlando at Palm Tree Court, we have landed in Denver at Elk Court.

We closed on our house out here yesterday and have been fervishly trying to clean, paint, clean, and clean so we can move our stuff over this week. The house is great - I will try and post some pictures in the coming days.

Anyway just wanted to pass on the news to all of you who know what a process this whole thing has been for us. We are finally done selling/buying and are not moving again for at least 30 years!

Bedtime Struggles

Malia is really good at going to bed for the most part. But sometimes it is getting her ready for bed that can be challenging - a lot of times when you take off her clothes to put on her pajamas, she gets a second wind. This can make getting her pajamas on hard.

The other night I got half of her shirt and one sock on before she took off. She was so content, so I just let her play for awhile half dressed.

First she was walking around with her sock and these tongs which happen to be one of her favorite toys at the moment.
Then she decided she wanted to carry around her shoes as well.

Here she is carrying all three with her belly still hanging out!

Malia is becoming less of a meal eater and more of a snacker. A few days ago she took her snack and sat on the bottom stair to eat it. She was really pleased with her new snack location.

A big smile.

An even bigger smile.

Trip to Ohio Part 2

Malia discovered all sorts of new things while at Grandma and Grandpa's house including how to put things on her head.

Here she is with a bucket that normally serves as storage for blocks.

And when my dad asked her if she wanted to put her pants back on after a diaper change, this is what she did.

She didn't have problems getting the pants on her head but my dad had to help her get them off!
Attempt at self-taken family portrait.

Poor Malia was getting in 3 new teeth up top while we were in Ohio so she had a few of these moments.

Trip to Ohio Part 1

Now that we are back in Denver and I can upload all of my pictures, I am going to recap our time in Ohio. This is part 1 of 2.

This is Malia being a good sport and being entertained by my sunglasses on our bonus flight to Nashville. During our layover in Chicago we volunteered to get bumped which put us on a plane that went to Nashville and then to Columbus instead of directly from Chicago to Columbus.

After a few days in Columbus, we traveled up north to see my grandma, the Chamberlains (no pictures were taken unfortunately)...

... and the Lile's. Here we are trying to give all three kids a bath together.

Here is little Levi chilling in the tub.

My attempt to get a picture of Malia and Maeva together - they are almost exactly a year apart.

Mug shot of sweet Maeva. She is such a doll.

Part 2 coming soon.

We are in Ohio this week so we got to watch the Superbowl with my parents.

Malia enjoyed snacking throughout the day like the rest of us.

Sitting in the rocker chair that was mine when I was little.

No one had the heart to tell Malia that the Broncos weren't in the Superbowl. She wore her Champ Bailey jersey with pride! Maybe next year.
