Operation Christmas Child

Last year I had the idea for the girls to have a joint Operation Christmas Child birthday party. It took some convincing over the last couple of months, but they eventually decided that instead of their friends bringing them gifts, we would ask them to bring items to fill the shoeboxes.

We have been collecting things throughout the year and I really tried to keep the girls involved so they had ownership. Here they are bagging up candy to go into each box.

Party sign :)

Our family room turned into the store. Each girl got a box and shopped according to the age they selected (they all chose to make boxes for girls!)

Naomi pre-shopped because the party started during her nap.

We hosted 21 girls (including my 3).

Part of the deal making process with my girls was that they could watch a movie afterwards. Here's the crew ready to watch.

We packed our extra items into boxes after the party (including a few boy boxes) and ended up with 33 boxes!

The girls are already saying that they want to do this again next year for their birthday party so the shopping has already begun!
