Kindergarten Graduate

Davey graduated from Kindergarten last week. It was a cute little ceremony at her Options school in which I had to suppress laughter, almost the entire time, because Davey was standing really awkward trying to keep her graduation cap on (her teacher forgot bobby pins to secure them onto their heads!) At home I tried to get a picture of her with her cap on and she chose to stand on one foot like a flamingo.

We are proud of our Davey Lou. She is a math whiz (who still draws most of her numbers backwards!) In her last week of school, she finished her 100th reading lesson and I see her desire to read increasing as the words come easier to her. She loves Legos and puzzles and watching movies. She loves to ride around and around our cul-de-sac. She can be really quiet in a group setting, but one-on-one she will talk your ear off. She is loving playing soccer. This spring she was diligent in practicing her piano and learning Bible verses for Wednesday night church. By the end of the school year she thought Kindergarten was a little boring and so she is pumped to be in 1st grade now!
