Ducks and Geese

Recently we met some friends at a park and it had a small pond with ducks and geese. Drew was fascinated by them. He kept wandering away from our group and towards the pond. Eventually all of the girls joined him by the water and fed them our bag of Cheerios. Simple joys.

Drew Painting

We went to the Children's Museum last week and I finally let Drew loose in the painting area. He loved it.

This was right before he put his very painted hand on his forehead!

The girls have been rather crafty this week.

Family Parkour

For Erik's birthday, we gifted him with a family parkour class. I wasn't sure what to expect (I had just randomly heard of this place), but we all loved it. It was so fun to do something active and new with our kids. Even though Andrew and I spent a lot of our time chasing toddlers around the gym, we did enough that my abs were genuinely sore the next day.

Most days, the girls dress themselves. Sometimes I encourage them to modify certain parts of their outfits, and other days we just go with mix match and random.

Here are outfits that Naomi and Davey came up with last month. (And yes they both went out in public like this.)

A few days later, Malia came up with this combination for church. I felt like she was channeling my 80's childhood and so I had to take her picture.

Car Napper

A lot of times if we are driving in the late afternoon hours, Naomi will take a little car nap.

Father Daughter Dance

Last month, our church hosted its 6th annual Father Daughter Dance. I had the opportunity to help put the event together again and Andrew attended with the girls. It was such a fun evening.

Little Debbie Cupcakes

Andrew had an overnight trip last week and while he was away, the girls were introduced to Little Debbie Cupcakes. The funny thing was they were incredibly hyper, silly and giggly before I gave them the cupcakes. I think the sugar actually calmed them down a bit ;)

Their uncontrollable laughter reminded me of my sister and I growing up... when we would just get going for no real reason and not be able to stop laughing. I am glad they have each other to laugh with.
